Retraction Policy

Kompleksnoe Ispolzovanie Mineralnogo Syra = Complex Use of Mineral Resources (KIMS) follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines to protect the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. This policy also applies to articles published online before assignment to an issue.

The journal may retract an article when reliable evidence establishes unreliable findings caused by major errors, fabrication or falsification; substantial plagiarism; unjustified duplicate publication; unauthorised use of material or data; serious legal or ethical violations; manipulated peer review; or an undisclosed major conflict of interest affecting the interpretation or evaluation of the work.

Authors will be informed of the concerns and given an opportunity to respond. The Editor-in-Chief, or an independent editor where a conflict of interest exists, makes the final decision. Retraction may proceed without the authors' agreement when justified by the evidence.

A freely accessible retraction notice will be published promptly, identifying the article, its DOI, the reasons for retraction, and who is retracting it. The article will normally remain available, clearly marked RETRACTED and linked to the notice. The journal will retain the original DOI, update its metadata, and notify relevant indexing services. Full-text removal is reserved for exceptional legal, privacy, or serious public-health circumstances, with an explanatory notice retained.

When limited errors can be corrected without undermining the main findings, the journal will publish a correction. An expression of concern may be issued while serious concerns remain unresolved.
