Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present previously unpublished empirical or theoretical studies in the field of technical sciences that make a substantial contribution to the advancement of engineering and technological knowledge. The journal welcomes manuscripts addressing new technologies, engineering solutions, computational models, algorithms, design methodologies, experimental setups, and applied engineering research. Replication studies, confirmatory and disconfirmatory research, as well as studies reporting null or non-reproducible results are also considered, provided they are supported by sound methodological and technical justification.
All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review in accordance with international standards of publication ethics and research integrity. Authors are required to ensure the reproducibility of their research, the accuracy of calculations, comprehensive documentation of the equipment, software, and algorithms used, and compliance with applicable technical standards and regulations.
The maximum length of a manuscript is 12,000 words, including references, tables, drawings, equations, and figures.
Manuscripts should be structured as follows:
- Abstract (objectives, technical approaches, key results, and practical significance)
- Introduction (engineering problem relevance, scientific and technological context, and research objectives)
- Materials and Methods (equipment, materials, algorithms, models, computational procedures, and measurement techniques)
- Results (experimental or model-based data, accuracy metrics, and reliability indicators)
- Discussion (comparative analysis, limitations, and engineering interpretation of results)
- Conclusion (primary technical contribution, application areas, and directions for future research)
When preparing a literature review manuscript, authors should provide a critical, structured, and comprehensive analysis of existing research on a specific topic. A high-quality literature review does more than summarise studies: it identifies gaps, synthesises findings, evaluates evidence, and situates new research in the scholarly conversation.
Key Recommendations for Authors:
-
Define a clear research question or focus.
-
Conduct a systematic and comprehensive search of relevant literature.
-
Critically evaluate sources for methodological quality, theoretical framework, and relevance.
-
Synthesize findings into coherent themes, identify patterns, conflicts, and gaps.
-
Highlight the contribution of your review.
-
Follow academic writing standards, including proper citations and clear structure.
Types of Literature Reviews:
-
Narrative review: Broad thematic summary, flexible but less structured.
-
Systematic review: Structured and replicable, answers a specific question.
-
Scoping review: Maps breadth of literature in emerging or complex fields.
-
Meta-analysis: Statistically combines results of multiple quantitative studies.
-
Realist review: Analyses how and why interventions work in specific contexts.
