APC Waiver and Discount Policy

Our journal is committed to promoting equitable access to publishing while maintaining the highest standards of scholarly quality. To support this goal, we offer waivers or discounts on Article Processing Charges (APCs) to authors who are recognized experts in the following fields:

• Metallurgy and Metallurgical Engineering
• Earth and Planetary Sciences: Earth-Surface Processes
• Mining & Mineral Processing

Authors who are willing to serve as peer reviewers for submitted manuscripts may be eligible for these benefits. This initiative not only recognizes the valuable contributions of expert reviewers but also helps enhance the overall quality of our publications.

Eligibility for APC Waivers or Discounts

Full or partial APC waivers may be granted under the following circumstances:

• Authors experiencing demonstrated financial hardship
• Authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries
• Invited papers, at the discretion of the Editorial Board

Application Process

Requests for APC waivers or discounts must be submitted before or at the time of manuscript submission. Importantly, consideration for APC support does not influence the editorial or peer review process, ensuring that all manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly merit. Our journal encourages all eligible authors to take advantage of this policy to facilitate the dissemination of high-quality research.
